Email culture versus voice mail culture.

When I was at Compaq, all of the managers that were director and above were given cell phones by the company. Voice mail was their preferred communications path. The rest used email. Also, the managers usually had their secretaries manage their email, of which they could get up to 100 messages a day. A nightmare to keep up with and a potentially long latency path.
