| No, Emile, I just despise anti- semites who will utter any calumny to disparage the Jews and Israel. I have never been a member of a Zionist group, although I have, admittedly, pro- Israel sentiments. I have never been an Orthodox Jew, although it is true that I was originally raised in a Conservative Jewish household. I have also been a Roman Catholic, and am currently without affiliation. I do, actually, care about the suffering of Palestinians. I wish their leaders were not so awful. Ethnically, I am of Latvian Jewish descent, on my father's side, and, on my mother's, English and Italian descent. My wife is English, Scottish, and German, and my son has no particular feeling of being Jewish, so it is hard to say that I am very tribal. Overall, I just know an anti- semite when I see one..... |
