Let's see. I pay taxes at a 28 percent clip and General Electric pays taxes at a 9 percent clip and Enron didn't pay any taxes whatsoever in four of the past five years.

Is that "fair" to the middle-class working taxpayer? I don't think so.

Re: "How important are corporate taxes as revenue sources?" Corporate income taxes provide the federal government with 10 percent of the money it takes to run this country. If you wish to eliminate all corporate income taxes, then we must reduce the defense budget by 10 percent, we must cut Social Security payments by 10 percent, on and on all the way down the line.

I don't buy your sluggish economy argument. Too much corporate money is going to sustain lavish lifestyles for CEOs and their golfing buddies. It sure as hell ain't going to create more jobs. So that line of thinking is bogus because the ethics of Big Business today is bankrupt.
