That's a pretty balanced POV elvan. If you hadn't noticed, I have little tolerance for lying, manipulative, arrogant intimidators & antagonists If they also use threats & terrorist activities to push their agenda, IMVHO they lack any credibility with anything that leaves their lips. That gives me a bias against the Palestinian cause. Arafat has a well established multi-decade history of terrorist atrocities against Israel. His hatred of the Jews is more than obvious. He has no qualms about lies & deceit to manipulate the media & alter perceptions.......... regardless of the facts. The Prime Minister prior to Sharon failed to bring peace to the region. Negotiations (including probably the best offer ever made to the Palestinian people....... most likely the best offer they will ever get........) went nowhere & eventually broke down. Suicide bombings were met with olive branches & more attempted negotiations. Arafat always found a way to avoid an agreement........... and the terrorism continued to escalate. Sharon is most likely a right winger who prefers solving terrorist acts problems with military force. He is clearly a hawk. His military career establishes where his political agenda would lean. He was democratically elected. His people knew precisely who they were voting for. They are closer to the issues than 99.9% of those who report or opine on it. I'll give them the benefit of doubt given my disposition & my perception of the facts at this point in time. Ö¿Ö
