I don't know whether Yahoo! split adjusts its volumes. If not, then 21 Nov '95 puts these recent surges in volume to shame: table.finance.yahoo.com Edit: BTW, what led me to that date is the Value Line, whose chart shows a huge rise in volumes lasting several months around that time.
