Please pass this on to MARIANNE PEARL if you can...

She was never alone in this ordeal; we always remember her, we always prayed for her and we still do, with love to her and her child. I belong to a nation who stole her husband from her; I will never forget the magnanimity and her greatness of forgiving us. This one act of forgiveness is something we as a nation should never forget and the crime of a few should never be forgotten.

Susan, here at ‘Ideas’, we are perhaps the most understated thread in terms of our reach, but we represent emotions especially love to the best of our ability. We have never ever ducked on a burning issue; rather we have maintained an objective analytical view of our subjects, condemning where required and steering through the minefield of reasons why Pakistan is so instable.

The feelings expressed by Mariane in her article reinforce the ideas we have expressed all along that we are hijacked by a militant ideology and engagement will help. This is what I have been trying to espouse on these pages that as vocal militants have hijacked the silent majority, they will now speak and speak big time on 30th April, the day of the referendum.

Please tell her that I will make every effort to work and help realise this memorial in Karachi and see to it that when her son comes to his father's memorial, he would see that people who want to take us to the past into the medieval times are not representative of our nation at large. I will certainly like to get in touch with her and will certainly make ‘Danny Pearl’ memorial in Karachi a reality.

On gruesome and cold-blooded murder of Daniel Pearl, I express my condolences to citizens of US. That, I belong to such nation; my head is bowed in total shame. I have no words, this is collective murder of 'human ideals' not just of a single man. In cold silence of night, Omar Shaikh and his cohorts killed the hopes and expectation of many who thought he would come out alive.

I will not play an innings of politics, the blood of this great man is far too dear to be made a scapegoat of our dirty regional politics, it is a declared war of Islamic extremists on mankind, those who care to eliminate these vermin’s are like me in the thick of things, we condemn this, and right now I am in this city Karachi where this murder took place, every perpetrator of this crime will pay very very dearly.

Omar Shaikh is evil reincarnated and a coward, God will make this earth small on him like God did for Osama...

Greetings fellow investors! I write with great sadness after the death of US journalist, Daniel Pearl in an act of barbarism that has no place in today’s society. The perpetrators of this crime have served only to tarnish Pakistan’s name without any identifiable objective. They exist for the sole reason to promote hate, encourage violence and perhaps worst of all commit these crimes in the name of Islam. Let the world know that these vermin do not represent the views held by the majority of Pakistani and I call to President Musharraf to bring those responsible to justice and toughen his act with regards to militant organisations. He would do well to quote from the US foreign policy, “ You’re either with us or without us”. The time has come for the militant organisations to make up their mind.....

Pakistan is one hell of screwed up nation, and shaming us is a point well made, but if you have ounce of respect for the fallen man and his pregnant wife, don't politicise his death, he is hero of mankind, don't contaminate his valour and his vigour of putting his duty before his life in mundane things like sub-continent dirty politics. Enough said and I hope you will respect the soul of the fallen man. He can be victim today, on a much smaller version tomorrow, I can be the one and I wish if that happens that you may remember me beyond sub-continent, a friend of humanity, we guys here have no frontiers, we are all brothers, if his killers killed him because he was Jew, let this be known that every Jew is brother of mine.
As one small feeble Pakistani, I am not going to carry the cross of the collective sin, I will condemn it with top of my voice, and I take greatest pride in that condemnation, I am not hidden, I am in Karachi, they know me well, and they read my thread..

For ordinary man like me, the simple effort to stand beside justice and humanity, gives me greatest of satisfaction.. Until one person like me is alive the hope will never die, shamed but trying to piece things together. With best love and appeal for compassion beyond boundaries. This has been the spirit of this thread.

<i admire and respect the sacrifice you are prepared to make to fight them.>

It is my duty and duty of everyone to stand up and say that 'this is inhuman and they have no right to call themselves as human being.'

I am strong proponent of 'eye for an eye' for people who slit human throats and those who run planes filled with gas into buildings. To be silent like a lamb is disgraceful and gruesome, our expression of resentment is hope that I will rather like to live with, than 'sense of debasement' as a result of inaction, that I a saw it and I said nothing is grisly thought, lets express it, lets do it at top of our voice, we have progressed beyond this as humanity and we need to stop this vandals and barbarians to take us back to the cave age.

We are no lambs and we should not act as one, in unison we should cry out and fight this thing with greatest of resolve that is the only way out. These people consider appeasement or compromise or lack of fortitude to face them or humanism as ‘fear’.

These guys represent stone and the corresponding age, we on the other represent the hope, desire and fulfilment of dream and cyber world, humanity has faced these people before and have grinded them fine, once again the gauntlet has been thrown the challenge accepted 'lets do it.' we do no favours to anyone if we stand up to them, just a long overdue obligation and responsibility as human ‘paid.’
Daniel Pearl will not be the last man but the mission has to continue. Our resolve to face the tyrants makes them weaker and on the run, lets keep them on the run.
