Best thing about it is that if you learn it at that age, you never forget.

I envy your son. My husband taught me to sail when I was in my twenties. We had a sailboat and a cruiser. The former was "mine" and the latter "his." I never took the sailboat out without him, though. Years later when I would go to beach resorts I'd think about renting a sailboat but never had the confidence. Sailing is a wonderful skill and your son is fortunate.
