Since I know you have me on ignore.
I'de like to take this opportunity to state i think AOL is fundamentally in trouble.
I personally don't see how it can grow.
Access is so 1999...Dialup is so 1999...56K Modem 1998.
Errr Advertising Revenue...err 1999.
Errr Freeware...hmmmm....probably 2004
Errr Cable Modems...errrr Can't make a profit...the Ghost of @Home is not a happy camper.
EERrrr license revenue...HMMM...I dunno...I dunno about license revenue...There are so many alternatives now.
It's not about a technology thing ...
It's not about turning a profit thing.
It's not about selling paper.
I think LINUX and freeware...and all the good little Junky browsers and a 9 dollar internet connection...maybe a 50 or 75 dollar high speed connection...I dunno...It's not about an AOL chat room...Is it...I dunno...It's not about sticking a web page on your internet preferences...I dunno...It's not about a secure connection via that router that happens to be sniffing every keystroke...I dunno...It's not about hitting that back button and bypassing some security loopholes...I dunno....I don't care about AOL ....I think they did good...I think they made a lot of people rich...I think the BIG boys on WallStreet...Jumped on like a BAND of gorrilas on a heard of sheep...And they had a Big Party...And the last man standing was probably the first man out the door...If you know what i'm sayin'
