What? You want me to cull interviews, for example, from executioners who have confessed that the act of putting others to death had deleterious effects on their mental health. I really need to do this in order for that notion to make sense to you?

I suggest you take a peek at "Angels of Death, Executioners in America" for starters. But your thinking is so bent, that hearing these men talk about their experiences would probably send you into some 500 word apoplectic fit about how they have misinterpreted their roles as instruments of the will of the state, or how they simply need to reframe their tasks in order to transform their work into an "actualization" exercise, or some other silly pseudo intellectual poseur nonsense.
