If you really love nature then you and all right-wingers should stop being anti-environment just because many of your party's soft money donors are pollutors, big oil companies and those who would have us consume too much too fast in the dirtiest manner. It's the only reason the GOP is against environmentalism.

I know some important moderate Republicans who really care about the environment but their party won't let them speak out about these principles because it's anti GW-Cheney. They are very disturbed by Bush-Cheney's big oil/pollution agenda but don't dare say anything - yet.

However Jeffords may be joined by others in the near future.
