Hi Dan, I've too been a bit concerned about the overall valuation of VTSS. That's part of the reason I carry a very fat cash reserve for the stock. I also keep the resistance to buying (called SAFE in AIM terminology) higher than normal to inhibit buying additional shares until the price drops substantially.
In recent months I've changed my initial buy-back from around $18 to $27. It's because the fundamentals are catching up quickly with VTSS that I've done this. Even at $27, I'll only be adding about 10% to my present position. If the price falls further than that, I'll buy more, but in a staged or proportional manner to the decline.
For this type of stock in such a jumpy industry, the AIM method seems to be the only logical way to be involved long term. You may want to take a quick look at the IDTI history showing how AIM has handled that volatile issue. It's at: execpc.com
That shows how the cash reserve is used repeatedly as the price fluctuates.
Hope this helps,
Tom
