Then you may be in trouble. Or maybe not. Who knows? Wild leaps of faith transcending available evidence is left to philosophers and religious prophets. It's not the business of science. Science moves from one piece of evidence to the next.

Here's the point. Newton's 3rd Law says "For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction." In modern terminology, for "action", read "force".

The dictionary definition of force is
A vector quantity that tends to produce an acceleration of a body in the direction of its application.

"Vector" is a mathematical concept that means a quantity that has a direction associated with it.

The equation defining force is F=mA where F and A are vector quantities. The force F will accelerate the mass m with acceleration A unless it is opposed by an equal and opposite force.

And that's what the 3rd Law means. Now if you can get psychology out of that, go to it.
