The middle east has the capacity to blow up the world.

And that is exactly what will happen if the US does not impose a solution to them. How in the name of any God it will be good for the US, the US economy, and the whole world in general (especially in an era with weapons of mass destruction), to just sit idle and watch the whole world blow up is beyond me. If all it takes is for the US to get in there and impose that Isreal remove those settlements in the occupied territories and give Jerusalem, in order to have peace in the region between the Israelis and Palestinians, so be it.

Cause all I'm hearing is the extreme Israelis side saying that the Palestinians want everything and their extermination, the extreme Palestinian side saying that the Israelis want everything and their extermination, and nobody is doing anything for a moderate solution for both while we are all sitting around watching the world sinking deeper and deeper day by day into the abyss.

What's the big deal with giving them Jerusalem anyway (minus the religious fanatics)? Give them the whole freaking Jerusalem if that's what it takes for Israelis and Palestinians to exist in peace. Cause it just does not seem logical to me for civilized adults to sit around watch the whole region and the whole world blow up when all it would have taken was a few square feet of land in Jerusalem and those new Jewish settlements in occupied territories. I'm just not willing to believe that civilized people can't see just a bit far enough to avoid a complete and total global disaster just for a few square feet of land.
