i do not in any way condone the rudeness or name-calling that my devil's advocacy may have, in some way, given rise to. moreover, i respect dave's willingness to respond to my pointed questions without taking offense. none was intended. because the appearance of possible conflict of interest exists when a board moderator accepts payment (stock included)to promote a given issue, additional scrutiny seems fair, even advisable. an ethical moderator should expect no less from the very readers he pesumes to educate in good trading/investing habits. it appears to me that dave is open to such scrutiny and has fielded it with more civility than certain of his scrutinizers. rudeness and name calling do little more than reveal the emotional immaturity of the rude. i dissociate myself from those who insist on going there.

i will no doubt continue to adopt the occasional role of devil's advocate but only because i believe such a stance is the appropriate one for all intelligent traders/investors to assume. if dave is convinced he can maintain his moral compass while being paid to promote sound but under-appreciated stocks, and is willing to suffer the additional scrutiny such a role entails, then it seems to me the business of board members is to apply such scrutiny in a civil and respectful manner, accept complete responsiblity for their own trades, and let the record speak for itself. it inevitably will.
