QUANTUM Opens Modern SULEV Testing Facility

Irvine, California-April 17, 2002 - Quantum Technologies WorldWide, Inc., a 100% wholly owned subsidiary of IMPCO Technologies, Inc. IMCO - news), announced today that the company has opened the West Coast's first emission testing facility to utilize the bag mini-diluter technology that was recently approved by CARB and EPA, and is the preferred method for testing Super Ultra Low Emission Vehicles (SULEVs). The emission facility is located at the company's Lake Forest location in Southern California.
Mr. Alan P. Niedzwiecki, President and COO of Quantum said, "Quantum's R&D funding over the past years has produced many state-of-the-art products, and has led to the creation of facilities and technical expertise to advance the total automotive integration concept forward. The outcome is one of the most advanced emissions testing facilities in the world. Because we're located in Southern California, we will be able to offer this service to many of the world's automotive OEMs and performance aftermarket product providers that are located within a few short miles of the facility."
