Just checking in on this fine Sunday morning before I take off to "go do something". Springtime finally did arrive up here in the Frozen North and we are well on our way after several days of 90 F. temperatures this week. BTW, the weather set a number of new records for highs for April. However, this morning, we're back down to 32 F., so it's best not to get too excited. Possibility for wet snow for the next couple of days, so not yet time to stow the winter duds in the back of the closet for the next 6 months. Lots of gardening happening here. The canoe is ready to hit the river any day now. I'm seeing a lot of wildlife everywhere here at the farm -- all kinds of birds, porcupines, squirrels, chipmunks, foxes and so on. I am looking forward to a lot of hiking and paddling over this summer and have a friend coming over from Europe to spend about a month tripping around in the canoe with me. Quite a few other people supposed to be canoe tripping with me this summer as well, so it looks to be a busy season. Guess that's all the news from here. Main thing is.. I made it through another winter.. summer is here..and that's just about all it takes to make life seem very good. (o: croc
