That was a very professional and full answer; You've got a number of good points but I've got a couple of practical corrections though:

ad 1: "MSFT gives very capable servers for free". Yes, but only for NT. NT may be a lot but it certainly is not - and will never be - a main player in the Internet marked. The tools that have been incorporated in Unix over the years are mostly completely missing on NT, and even if you flex out megabucks to buy them 3rd party NT hardware is far from having the raw power of high-end Unix systems (Look f.x. at Pyramid's or the new multiprocessor IBM RS/6000. Mainframe powerhouse)

ad 2c: "How many people or corporations would make the effort to purchase or even obtain for free a separate browser when the Os incorporates the same or possibly more features." Many. Although Win95 include both email and fax software (MS Exchange) I don't know any serious user using these. They are big, clumsy and cumbersome applications, taking up heaps of resources without offering any of the useful features of, say, Winfax 7.0 or Eudora E-mail. I'm not saying that Netscape's browser is better or worse than MSIE, only that just because it comes with the OS don't need to mean it's the best choice.
