Karen-- a very sensible post.

For the record, I have never used the word "patriotism" in these exchanges, nor did I question X's love of country in my original post which caused so much irritation. My original reference was "how you feel about your country", which was quickly interpreted all the way up to something like a challenge to patriotism.

If implying ain't so good, inferring ain't much better.
