It seems you are very forgiving when its a Republican. Mr. Cheney blatantly lied on Aug. 6th, 2000 then sort of corrected himself on Aug. 27th of that same year.

Hell, he didn't "blatantly lie". It is inconceivable to anyone who knows anything about business that Cheney would have had any awareness of such a contract, in a subsidiary that was held on a transitory basis during an acquisition and resultant spinoff the subsidiaries in question. You're showing your ingorance.

Have you heard of the corporate function called due diligence [DD]? Its a major activity undertaken when purchasing or merging with another corporate entity, in which a thorough review is made of the company to be purchased. As a matter of course, all contracts of the new entity would be reviewed by the purchasing entity. Do you not wonder why these contracts, even as small as you suggest they are, would not have presented a red flag to Cheney? Its not surprising to you that he would not be sensitive to any contracts related to trading with Saddam, his arch enemy when he was Sec. of Defense?

Frankly, I think Cheney saw the contracts and didn't give a damn. He was no longer Sec. of Defense so why should he care....and as CEO, its all about the money. That's why no one trusts the oil interests and Reps. with anything to do with the environment. And the fact that you so easily blow this one off is showing your true colors.

I do not want to hear from you again about the morality of Reps vis a vis the Dems., and your twisted and perverse observation of what went on between Clinton and Lewinsky.

You have a double standard in play here, and I don't like people with double standards.

Have a good one!!
