The Democrats are still basing their political future on last year's fish wrap. A vast majority of voters in our petroleum-based economy realize that the energy industry "pals" are the only people who can produce the energy needed for economic growth. The Democrats can run hard on tree-hugging, windmills, and compost-heaps and get the same results that they got from that in the 70's and 80's: 38-to-42% of the vote. The ANWAR vote exposed their true lack of ideas, while the sudden love affair with the Palastinian sewer rats threatens a key part of their base. So far, not a good year for Daschlegephardt...
