Do you or don't you trust an AP story to have their facts right?

I just don't know, Lindy. I've read contradictory stuff about the AP but most of it is low key.

I know you're pressing me on that particular story. I'll just say again what I've been saying that the fact that it appeared on the WSJ editorial page website did not push it toward credibility, at least for me. Others obviously will have a different cut.

Don't get me wrong about the WSJ editorial page and its lack of commitment to getting the story right. That is hardly a sin that's monopolized by the right, in my view.

Incidentally, just finished reading Robert Littell's large novel about the CIA, The Company. Very good read. Much better than the first 100 or so pages suggested. An interesting way to wander back through the last 50 years of the Cold War through the eyes of a certain vision from within the company.

It's very long so if you think about reading it you need to have the free time to do so.
