TOKYO, April 22 (Reuters) - Japan's biggest securities bourse, the Tokyo Stock Exchange, was evacuated on Monday morning after fire department officials received a telephone bomb threat but initial investigations found nothing, officials said.

The nearby office of Nomura Securities Co Ltd <8604.T>, Japan's biggest brokerage, was also evacuated, police added.

About 800 people were told to leave the exchange and about half of them were waiting in a nearby park, local fire department officials said.

A fire department official said a man, sounding

"middle-aged", had called a local fire station earlier in the morning and said bombs would go off at the stock exchange, Nomura's nearby headquarters, and Tokyo station.

The evacuation came before the start of trading at 9 a.m
