My understanding is that Sprint went with a Texas company for gear, instead of HYBR. However, also that the Texas company equipment is new and untested.

HYBR gear has more going for it than is appreciated by Sprint, who was getting killed on the number of truck rolls each installation took, and justified going after Texas equip for non-LOS customer-installed gear. It's unclear why, or whether, HYBR would make gear enabled for that spectrum.

Having dealt w. Sprint before, on the surface it seems like a leaderless decision, based on internal CYA point-the-finger executive turnover. Knowing what training is required for installs, that's certainly one point of failure in their process.

Having dealt w. HYBR before, it seems like a leaderless acquiesence, not taking full advantage of their mature tech.

It's all in the so-close-and-yet-so-far category.
