In fact, I daytrade MSFT. No point in holding for long periods of time imho. Now, to question a whole industry by pure anecdotes is not fair. It is possible that many analysts got caught up in the hype about the technology field and couldn't see straight for some time. It is another thing to call that lying. However, bears have always done that because in the long run, the market always goes up - you know why? Because the long term (not counting the eventual collapse of the universe etc) will always lead to improvement in the conditions of human beings... Tell me, were you long after Sept 28? Or did you worry that terrorists will create more havoc and were caught short?
