Dear Russ,

I have both the time and inclination so I will do some homework and read the old posts.

You are a very good micro investor! From the top down my point is that gold may still have a long way to go and may not be a candidate for a sector rotation just yet. I would not buy any stocks from the top down either and would not buy them today on the basis of $400 gold "tomorrow". I was trying to suggest a contingency plan/review of the 4 major sectors of gold stocks on the "what if" of a gold price rise and the what if ( sensitivity analysis) of the various stocks that make up the 4 Mining Insights sectors to stimulate discussion and analysis.

As the POG/POS rises various mines become more feasible and various companies more attractive because of their leverage to the price of gold / silver.

For example today at $4-5 silver the top 5 companies for capital gains maybe BAY, PAAS, SSRI, MFL and HL. At $10 the order maybe reversed!! I don't know.

I was just thinking out loud that this kind of "what if" might stimulate some structured analysis and discussion that we all could participate in and raise the thread profile for serious P.M. investors.

Thanks and regards,
