scott, did you read Kagan's piece Message 17347340 on why having NATO patrolling the West Bank would be a very, very bad idea? (ditto for the US). Any peace-making force (you can't peacekeep a war) would either be human shields for the terrorists, or it would become a combatant. One or the other. If the force was staffed by little green men from Mars, they could not avoid it.
