Giesecke & Devrient to demonstrate integration of Smart Card and Identix Biometric Authentication Technology at CTST 2002

DULLES, VA, and NEW ORLEANS, LA, Apr 22, 2002 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Giesecke & Devrient, a worldwide leading provider of secure ID cards and systems, announced today that it will be demonstrating Identix Incorporated (IDNX, Trade) template-on- card technology with the Giesecke & Devrient Sm@rtCafe Java smart cards at the CardTech/SecurTech exhibit in New Orleans, April 23- 25. Giesecke & Devrient believes there is an excellent opportunity to market smart cards with Identix biometrics to the government, transportation and other strategic sectors. Identix is a worldwide leader in providing fingerprint biometric security identification and authentication solutions.
