John, and the entire thread, it is imperative to read the FA piece by Agha and Malley on an imposed settlement. It's in the latest issue.

I read it, then reread it, then tried to find something intelligent to say, then decided to wait for someone else to do so and I would piggyback. The only thing that occurred directly was that it was a part of a growing chorus of suggestions for comprehensive solutions. I thought the argument that the piecemeal approach was structurally a problem in that it gave the parties incentives to undermine the process, I thought that argument was extremely strong.

I do have the right article in mind, don't I?
