You could be right, after all, the model is off by not even a month (if last week top was the final top before the major decline), thus simple continuous event, as you are describing and the resulting slight acceleration of the onset of the second dip could be it as well. I still think that Le Pen's showing has negative long term implications. If in the final elections next month he gets more than 25%, i would be really worried. Steve, you are around there, what are the chances of Le Pen getting to the 25% level?
