As I recall, the bookings number is net of cancellations, which can really accelerate the downward side in bad times (what positive bookings there are totally mitigated by cancellations). Billings can be delayed for a variety of factors and there is some impact of the accounting changes on that side of the equation (per the AMAT thread). I think the net of this is "watch the bookings number". Growth there is not only good, but could indicate broader acceleration as new orders come in and cancelled or postponed orders fall away.

In any event, the trend is our friend.
