And I would really like to be in the chair of a shrink, and psychoanalyze a Frenchman. There seems to be some irresistible attraction to Le Pen's point of view, underneath, in the subconscious, while on the outside, they make all these noises about how distasteful Le Pen is.
Joe, I think the French are perpetually petulant and periodically act out like a child would and reject everything around them. Right now, there is some issue that they are not happy with......probably its a combo of the EU and immigration.....frankly I bet its more about the EU. They probably don't feel they are getting the respect they deserve from the other EU countries.
So to show their displeasure, they reject the left and go as far right as possible without electing another Hitler [they hope].
Did you know the French had their own kind of internet....not really internet but you could go on line in France, and get train tickets or buy some products and do a kind of email with each other. Well, here's the rest of the world endorsing, adopting and vigorously using the internet, and the French are off in their corner using their little system. Suddenly, it dawns on them that no one will adopt their system and the internet is here to stay so now they are frustratingly trying to catch up with the rest of the developed world.
Making this all the more silly.......most websites offer the visitor two languages.......the webmaster's native language and English. Not saying it should be English because I am American but there should be one standard language to facilitate all the different users. But do the French agree.......no, of course not..............their's are only in French. Consequently, their websites laid languishing for lack of users. Finally, in the last year to two years, many of their sites now offer English as an alternative language to French. And in typical French fashion, their sites tend to be more artistic with gimmick devises to make them more interesting. They crack me up.........they remind me of the emperor with no clothes.
