Arafat made Sharon Prime Minister, through his rejectionism and the strategy of Intifada II, which preceded Sharon's ascension. But do not fool yourself. Shimon Peres is still Foreign Minister, he has not resigned. All mainstream elements in Israeli politics support Sharon aggressively combatting terrorism. And Bush cannot very well assert a right to fight terror wherever it has found a haven, and deny that right to Israel, which suffers more, proportionately. Besides, the Palestinians are the one's sending their children as human bombs to kill other children........
