It's one more explanation for the suppression of the price of gold. The greedy guys have all written IOUs on gold and borrowed at 1% lease rates to fuel the mortgage industry. So as gold goes up by more than 6% a year they are underwater.

You are right all these companies right up to GE have HUGE derivative problems so from that standpoint its not irregular. But it's foolish to be issuing mortgages in a real estate bubble based on a precious metal that is at 20 year lows and with supplies dwindling.

I think we are looking at either a 20 year bull market in gold or a huge spike in a short time that forces the government to intervene. I will take either.
