AOL's debt is too high now. There was a good article about AOL/Time Warner in the New York Times this last Sunday. It did not paint a pretty picture of the AOL part of the business. I should have linked it then.

I listened to the Amazon conference call and read their press release in detail. The overall performance looked pretty good as the numbers showed. Jeff I thought had difficulty explaining the increased efficiencies in shipping expenses relative to sales particualrly in light of the free shipping over $99.00. Gross margins in the BMV division increased but Amazon claimed to have lowered prices. The cost of the product to Amazon woul dhave to decrease for this to really occur. Maybe they have Borders buy their BMV for them? It may be more clear when the 10Q is out.
