I don't think it is likely that I will convince anyone, but when the opportunity presents itself I would try to convince a woman not to have an abortion.

To a small extent if I can convince anyone here (which isn't likely) I can help shift the tide against abortion, making it less acceptable.

As for when the mother will die without the abortion then you have two lives in the balance and the equation changes a bit. In fact it could then even be argued that if the woman had an abortion she would be acting in self defense. Of course the "attack" is not deliberate and if she wasn't raped then she put herself at risk, but your hypothetical was that she was raped. If she was going to die otherwise, and wasn't responsible for the creation of the unborn child then abortion is in a sense self defense.
