Oh, I didn't say they were going out of business. What's important to note is that many timber companies own lots of forest land. Land is a fixed quantity deal, unless we start colonizing other planets. Therefore it's subject to supply and demand. Not only that, but you can't grow a harvestable tree in one year, like you can corn. So harvestable forest land is a valuable investment. Lastly, the statistics are clear about one thing: forests are shrinking.
