Tough to see what the market got out of that call that was so negative. They pretty much reiterated the guidance that was in the press release. The 2 cent drop in the high end of the earnings range seems almost entirely due to the Korean handset subsidy ban going back into effect for this quarter. They stated that that might have had an extra 1 million chipset shipments this quarter if that had not occurred.

If you back out the cash and take the midpoint of the earnings range, Qualcomm is now selling at PE of around 30. I have said it before....I think that below a price of 30 or so, Qualcomm should begin a share buyback. Start balancing out some of the options that have been granted over the years....
