Anybody have an idea when the writeoffs / adjustments will cease or at least dissipate substantially. I'm surprised that at this stage of the companies existence there is such gap between GAAP and proforma earnings.

When W-CDMA goes commercial...

The reason for all of these various investments is to try and promote 1x. It is pretty unlikely that the Romanian operator would have gone 1x without the $300 million investment that Inquam provided.

Once W-CDMA is commercial (hopefully sooner rather than later), there will be much less reason to provide these types of investments. They can let Nokia and Ericsson provide the vendor financing.

FWIW....once Pegaso is settled, the difference will drop. After that they will need Vesper to hit break-even. When these two things happen, I think QSI will actually be GAAP positive....except when they need to write down one of their investments.
