OT - I haven't used a long distance carrier since October 2001. The AT&T ba$tards charged me 3 minutes (21 cents) for a 1 minute call I made just to be greedy jerks, so I responded like an a$$hole and cancelled my service. I have been using a net2phone calling card from my home telephone since October. There is no access fee, but there is a 99 cent a month usage charge. I am very happy with their service, and I will NEVER have a long distance carrier again. Also, I have never and I will never own a cell phone. I lived in the world just fine before they were introduced, and although everyone around me has one, I will never own one, even if it is free and the minutes are free. I happen to like being out of touch when I'm away from an immobile phone.

I used to average paying around $100/month to AT&T for residential long distance service, but now, a Net2Phone $25 calling card lasts me AT LEAST 2 months, and I am making the same volume of calls. All that sucks about the Net2Phone calling card is having to dial a lot of access codes and pin numbers. Otherwise, the service is great.

Screw AT&T and their fellow competitors to hell. I hope they end up JUST like Enron or worse.
