No need for abortions when birth control is used, and taught, everywhere in the world. Family planning is all about AVOIDING abortions and unwanted pregnancies.

Got the shoe on the wrong foot there, as usual. Time to get realistic. Over-population is the #1 problems in the world.

As for China, their polcies may be harsh and controlling, but indeed if they didn't have this policy there could be double the population there. That would mean 1/3 the world's (over) population crammed into the mainland. And as that nation develops and uses more and more energy per capita - a real problem environmentally which translates into eating, drinking and breathing (our atmosphere too).

That's why you don't hear a lot of people complaining much about China's strict birth rules. Somehow, China and third world populations MUST be brought under control if those people are to even survive going forward. The easiest way and most sensible way is birth control. When they get too over-populated - wars, starvation, you name it. A lot of good anti-abortion gripes will do anyone then.

Hey how about that ADM, huh? Ought to re-name this thread.
