Hi Gary. Why would I do that?<g>

IMHO, fwiw, there's nothing wrong with the way you're thinking. That thesis has been a well established one for some time.

As Slider has pointed out many times, VERY few saw the major turn in the gold stocks in the early stages of the new bull market. He began beating the drum very close to the major low in the fall of 2000.

Per posts, (in April of last year) I loaded the boat, in the sector - for the first time in 20 years - just when these stocks were starting a huge rally. Since then, have traded in and out of many profitable positions and continue to hold sizable longs in the portfolio.

There will be normal corrections along the way in both energy and the PM sector. Although I've raised cash levels in recent weeks, have been one of only a couple of posters on this board pursuing a dual strategy in energy and precious metals stocks - since late February. And that strategy continues to be very profitable.

Best regards,

Isopatch
