Re: Copper Climbs on Expectations of Improved Manufacturing Demand

It seems you have posted a number of articles about this putative demand increase for copper. In addition you have posted articles detailing the cuts in production that have occurred during the last six months. Doesn't it seem strange that during this time that the LME inventories continue to climb - reaching a new high of of 967 thousand tons this week?

If demand is rising and supply is falling, why would inventories grow? Get the feeling that these reports of increased demand are spurious? I do.

As for the longer term, once demand really does increase - and it surely will - don't you think that this idled capacity will return and keep prices from rising much? It's pretty difficult to paint a rosy picture for copper if you ask me.
