Well thats the gist of what I was getting at. As the # components / component densisty increases on chips they produce more heat CISC chips inherently require highed numbers of components.

RISC is they way that the market will move INTC are doing so with the pentium pro. I believe the 786 is going to be RISC.

BTW the analogy shoyld be approx 15.6 garden hoses the area of a circle is Pie times ( radius squared ). therefore

3.14 * ( 2.5*2.5) = x *( 3.14 * (.625 *.625))

Just an engineer picking nits :-)
