Because Jews illegally and unilateral declared Israel's independence! This was tantamount to a declaration of war against the entire ME Arab neighbors. The Zionist Jews were heavily armed from Russia and Europe and they knew that the newly liberated Araba nations did not have the military might to stop them.

Israel then attacked Egypt in 56 and occupied the Sinai. Immediately after the occupation of the Sinai Israel began building illegal settlements just as they are doing in occupied Palestinian territory. President Eisenhower forced Israel, England and France to leave the occupied Egyptian territory.

Then Israel attacked Egypt in 67 and started the 67 war in which Israel illegally occupied the Golan Heights and Palestinain territory.

UN resolution 242 explicitly demands that Israel leave the occupied lands. Israel refuses because the Zionist want all of Palestine for their Greater Israel where only the Chosen master race of Jews will have full civil rights.

Saudi ARabia and the entire Arab League agreed to fully recognize Israel and establish peaceful relations if only Israel recognize international law by abiding by UN resolution 242---leave the occupied lands. Sharon refuses because <b?he openly wants to annex the West Bank into Greater Israel.
