What concerns me here is the lack of capitulation in VIX and VXN despite the market's big drop of late. The final phase of a drop is often the bloodiest, so the possibility of a Black Monday cannot be ruled out.

If past patterns hold the market will make a huge reversal just as it looks about to break down completely.
