I haven't seen any evidence of Jews attacking Arabs before the War of Independence. I have, however, heard of many Arab massacres of Jews, not only in Palestine but in most of the Arab countries.

Z, from what I've read, a blood feud developed between the two sides and they were both guilty of attacking each other. However, I am sure the Palestinians were the ones who started it.
