Because the silver is minted into a coin and the costs of that plus distribution are factored in. Anyplace you buy silver or gold you are going to pay a premium over spot price, unless you buy futures and take delivery on COMEX bars. 1 COMEX contract is for 5 ea. 1000 oz. bars.

On Amazon.com sells stuff for less than it costs them and gets away with it -g-
Losing on each trade and making it up in volume..
