I can't agree with you

You would have to go back to read some old posts.

Let's say that one strategy is the 40% solution in which they really downsize the company to its enterprise core. Not likely until many further bad QTR's.

Another is the native IP & NDS UNIX standard solution in which the company gets itself ready to be sold. They are on their way to this but without changes in the BOD, it isn't possible, unless somebody really wants the company. But it gets more likely with each passing QTR.

The third strategy is one the company projects, and that is they will develop a new source of revenue. Namely services based upon NDS, Bordermanager etc. So far everybody from Joe Antol to Wall St. has been saying show me the money. I'm sitting here absolutely shocked by the lack of response thus far to the IBM deal.

A dead company doesn't have any of these options. Even APPL isn't dead and it is a lot further along than Novell.

Novell is a company that needs alot more changes in its executive suite and I'm just wondering how long before Schmidt's patience gets tested to the point of further action. We advised him to bring in outside managers to shake up the mindset at the company.

Thus far NADA. I would expect BorderManager will be the product that causes him to understand what we already know.
