Some people seem to be upset that there should be a word that derscribes these behaviours. Apparently they would like a different word to describe each one. however, I think the language is rich enough that people may qualify their words in whatever ways are necessary to tighten their meaning.

The following can be said with just one word: "homophobic". Isn't that one Hell of a lot easier than making a five minjute speech about somebodies attitude of discrimination, repugnance, settled dislike, antipathy, antagonism, etc.?

Aversion 1 obsolete : the act of turning away

2 a : a feeling of repugnance toward something with a desire to avoid or turn from it <regards drunkenness with aversion> b : a settled dislike : ANTIPATHY <expressed an aversion to parties> c : a tendency to extinguish a behavior or to avoid a thing or situation and especially a usually pleasurable one because it is or has been associated with a noxious stimulus

3 : one that is the object of aversion

Repugnance: strong dislike, distaste, or antagonism

Discriminate: to make a difference in treatment or favor on a basis other than individual merit
