Solly on AT&T's equipment suppliers
Salomon Smith Barney believes that T's lowered capex budget would have the following effects on equipment suppliers: the continued broadband buildout would likely have a modest benefit for TLAB, which the firm believes supplies T with Cablespan video, voice, and data service integration products; MPLS node upgrades should benefit CSCO, while increased traffic loads generated from broadband subscribers should benefit both core router vendors CSCO and JNPR; on the other hand, flat or declining voice volumes suggest little demand for legacy voice equipment vendors such as LU.
